There was a time when I didn’t know if I’d ever feel normal again.
I was living with anxiety, depression, and episodes of PTSD that would hit like attacks, intense, unpredictable, and terrifying. It felt like being hijacked by my own nervous system. I’d start pacing, trembling, completely overwhelmed like a panic attack on cocaine. (No, I’ve never tried cocaine, but I imagine it’s that kind of chaos.)
I kept wondering:
The month of December raises a lot of questions. How was this year? What’s next? Am I doing okay? Yes, it’s an accountable month, and the idea of a new year and new beginnings can be terrifying. Have I fulfilled everything I set out to achieve this year, or have I not? December of 2023 was one year since my separation from my husband. I was doing all the things I had learned that keep my foundations strong. I hiked every weekend, socialising, exercising, going out in nature, and practising yoga. Yet I felt something was missing. I was stuck, and a burden, strangely unhidden, was on me.
That New Year’s, I volunteered at a spiritual festival ‘Resolution’ in Auckland. I had never been to one and this was scary, but it would be an experience. I had heard wonderful things and I was open. Through somatic dances and sound healing, my body started to ache and pinch at my left arm, and the instructors told me to see a healer to find out what the pain was pointing at.
This is where I found a Māori healer, Te Hopo (Kevin), trained in Mirimiri and Rongoā healing. I learnt the meaning and significance of the pain. Through energy healing modality, breathing and visualizations, he guided me through a series of energy transitions. I learnt that I had missed my grandmother and was holding onto her death. He helped me release grief I didn’t know I had been carrying for eight years, grief from my grandmother’s passing. He helped me release negative energies of grief, trauma, and the past, and gave me the message: “That’s enough, stop blaming yourself.”
My body was shaking, I was crying, screaming, thrashing….releasing. Yes, all that I had seen in videos at energy healings. After the session, my brain and body felt like potato mash, but I was loose, calm and my body started to detox.
After the festival I returned home and back to work. In the coming few weeks a solid CHANGE happened. This change was something else, it is hard to describe, a sense of eternal bliss, and joy that lasted for months. I was happy just being, as I was. This was the first time in my life I felt the joy of the present moment — the ‘Power of Now’. I spent several weeks in this mesmerising feeling of lightness, striding along, singing and sprinting with every step, every action I took in my routine.
That was the start of my spiritual healing journey, it shook me completely and put me back together. I continued my spiritual practices through yoga, meditation, and nature walks.
When Pranic Healing Found Me
One day at the start of 2025, I was feeling completely lost again. I was searching…..and asking the universe for guidance: ‘What’s next?’ After a couple of rough weeks and a sudden family death, I found myself in India on a flight I had booked overnight. The next thing I knew, I was learning about Pranic Healing, an ancient, structured and scientific form of energy work. And from the very first session, I was offering healing to others, relieving pain, fatigue, and emotional heaviness. I trained in Advanced Pranic Healing and Pranic Psychotherapy in the coming weeks and helped people release long-held pain, stress, trauma and emotional blocks.
Pranic Healing is a non-touch, non-invasive, no-talk, and natural energy healing system that helps your body do what it’s designed to do: heal itself.
You know how stress, anxiety, or grief can leave you feeling drained or off-balance? Maybe you’re dealing with chronic pain, tight shoulders, low energy, or high blood pressure. These could just be physical issues, but often diseases and disorders show up in your energy body first. Pranic Healing works by clearing energetic blockages and restoring flow where your body’s been depleted. This speeds up both physical and emotional healing naturally. It’s a structured, scientific system based on the energy centers of our body, known as ‘chakras’.
Practitioners scan, cleanse, and energise your energy field without physical touch. For deeper emotional wounds, Pranic Psychotherapy releases the energetic roots of trauma, anxiety, phobias, or grief. People report feeling lighter, clearer, calmer even after one session. Why It Works for Anxiety & Stress + Free Session
When your energy body is balanced and flowing, your physical body follows. Your energy levels change, tension melts, breathing deepens and your nervous system shifts from fight-or-flight into rest-and-repair. For the session, after an initial consultation, all you have to do is sit or lie down in a comfortable position with the intention of ‘receiving the healing energy for that certain problem’. You will start to notice subtle changes or big changes. With commitment to self-work and a weekly healing can do increase the recovery and healing time.
Whether you’re adding this to your regular therapy or exploring energy work for the first time, Pranic Healing meets you where you are and helps you heal.
If you’re curious to experience it yourself, I’m offering a free introductory session for new clients. Reach out via Whatsapp or Contact us form.
